Before nine, the old town belongs to the people who live in it. Here is our morning route.
The Gothic quarter is busiest from eleven to six. Before nine, it is a different place: shutters going up, deliveries, children on their way to school.
Our route
Out of the door at eight, through El Born to the cathedral, under the Pont del Bisbe and into the square of Sant Felip Neri. By the time the tour groups arrive, you’re back at the hotel for breakfast.
